Inter-Freight

Inter-Freight can utilise the overhead electric power infrastructure where available, using only electric propulsion. It can then leave the electrified lines and switch to hydrogen generated electricity to power the locomotive for long distances. This enables this locomotive to be operated completely carbon neutral producing no CO2 emissions.

In Contrast, current diesel locomotives are continually powered by diesel fuel even on rail lines that have overhead electric power supply available.

Hydrogen powered locomotives offer a green alternative to moving freight using trucks, ships or aircraft.

Long distance locomotives are perfectly placed for hydrogen power.
